Interlake, Bellevue and Bellevue Christian schools will team together to put on a talent show featuring musicians from each school.
The concert, at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at Interlake High School, will raise money for Esperanza, a microfinance organization started by former Mariner player Dave Valle. All proceeds will be donated to Esperanza which gives small loans to impoverished people in the Dominican Republic and Haiti in which the recipients are able to learn a trade so they can provide for their family.
With a loan return rate of 98 percent, Esperanza has given 132,276 loans.
The goal for the concert is to raise $2,000 through ticket sales ($5 for students and $8 for adults). The money will provide loans for about 13 people.
