Drivers should plan for longer than an hour today for blasting on I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass

At 8 p.m., July 21, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews will close I-90 in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to the Price Creek Sno Park (milepost 61).

Crews are going to be blasting material that is closer to the roadway than previous blasts and depending on the amount of material that comes down, it may take crews longer to get the road open. Drivers should plan to give themselves more than an hour to get to their destination.
