Polymer clay workshop set at Bellevue Arts Museum
Published 5:03 pm Wednesday, October 22, 2008
A workshop to introduce people to the properties and possibilities of polymer clay will be offered at the Bellevue Arts Museum.
The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2.
Participants learn a variety of techniques for working with polymer clay including beadmaking, custom-mixing colors, marbleizing, caning, inclusions and embellishing with a large array of materials. The workshops will focus on learning skills and techniques rather than creating a specific keepsake (although participants often leave with completed jewelry).
The second day of the workshop will explore more advanced skills including bracelet, brooch and earring design. Participants are welcome to bring tools and materials for wirework, metalwork, beading, fiber, paper, drawing and painting and other mediums they currently work with to combine with polymer clay.
Cost for the workshop is $70 members/$80 non-members for 1 day and $130 members/$150 non-members for both days.
More information is available by calling 425-519-0770 or info@bellevuearts.org. The Bellevue Arts Museum is located at 510 Bellevue Way N.E.
