Knights defeat Redmond

The Newport Knights registered a 3-2 win against the Redmond Mustangs in a Class 4A KingCo showdown in Bellevue.

The Knights improved their overall record to 7-2 with the win. Newport will face the Eastlake Wolves at 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 in Sammamish.

Interlake falls to Lake Washington

Lake Washington earned a 3-2 victory (25-22, 25-19, 15-25, 12-25, 15-12) in a five-set match against the Interlake Saints on Oct. 8 in Kirkland. The Saints dropped to 6-4 with the loss.

Courtney Johnson had 17 digs and Jamie Wagner had 10 kills in the loss for the Saints. Marie McHenry added 32 assists and Erin Brown registered 12 kills in the loss.

Bellevue rolls to a win against Bulldogs for fourth win in a row

The Bellevue Wolverines extended its 2015 winning streak to four games with a convincing 42-14 win against the Juanita Bulldogs on Oct. 9 in Kirkland. Bellevue (4-1) will host the Liberty Patriots in a KingCo League matchup at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Bellevue High School.

Vikings lose in overtime thriller

Bellingham defeated the Bellevue Christian Vikings 34-33 in overtime on Oct. 9 in Bellingham. Bellevue Christian (3-3) will face the Vashon Island Pirates at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 on Vashon Island.
