Totems fly past competition to win first-ever state swim title

The Sammamish boys swim and dive team won its first 2A state swim title in school history, beating out Anacortes 334-289.5 on Feb. 22 at the King County Aquatic Center.

Sammamish had relay teams place first in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Sammamish junior Jarod Schahrer also won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke.
