Thunderbird Little League baseball team wins AAA City Tournament | Youth sports news

The White Sox from Thunderbird were the City Tournament champions, besting a field of teams from each of the three Bellevue leagues, as well as Mercer Island

Bellevue Thunderbird saw one of its champions capture a City Tournament title, as the White Sox won the AAA Division championship from a field of squads from Bellevue East, Bellevue West, Thunderbird and Mercer Island Little Leagues.

The White Sox finished the regular season 12-1, ending the year with 22 wins against a single loss, and with a city tournament title. The team was believed to be the first from Thunderbird to follow a league championship with a City Tournament title.

Coaches and players include: Mitch Levy; Henry Ping; Ben Anderson; Conner Anderson; Tyler Oshima; Kengo Shirokane; Jackson Castle; Evan Ping; Ethan Feiges; Elliot Spatz; Alexander Flett; Brett Levy; Alex Oweis; John Moe; Clayton Ng.

The AAA Thunderbird Cardinals, which the White Sox beat out for the league title, were also the runner-up finishers in the City Tournament after winning three games to reach the championship.
