Defending state champs Newport defended their water polo title in a dominating fashion, winning all five games they played. The Knights outscored their opponents 58 to 11.

Defending state champs Newport defended their water polo title in a dominating fashion, winning all five games they played. The Knights outscored their opponents 58 to 11.

The championship game was played against Mercer Island with Newport taking the match 12 to 2. Those scoring goals for Newport included Jordan Heide, 6; Stephanie Halamek, 1; Taylor Smith, 1; and Zoya Popoff, 4.

Goals scored for the tournament were: Allison Jensen, 2; Aris Coover, 4; Bailey Seeker, 2; Elle Kim, 2; Jordan Heide, 22; Lauren Cooper, 1; May Mobeck, 2; Micaela Surdi, 4; Stephanie Halamek, 3; Taylor Smith, 8; Teo Stocia, 1; and Zoya Popoff, 7.

Goalie saves were Amy Carlson, 21 and Aris Coover, 5.
