Local basketball standouts receive KingCo all-league honors

Bellevue-area basketball players received KingCo boys and girls all-league honors for the 2019-20 hoops season.

Newport: On the boys team, junior Ryan Thompson was named to the second team. The Knights also received the sportsmanship award.

On the girls team, junior Charlee Arthur was named to the first team. Senior Eva Richards and sophomore Allie Harrison were honorable mentions.

Bellevue: For the boys team, seniors Hudson Hansen and Eric Hart were both named to the first team. Senior Hans Stone and sophomore Tom Nash were both honorable mentions.

On the Bellevue girls team, junior Sara Bowar received second-team honors. Seniors Chloe Friend and Katie Reid were both honorable mentions.

Interlake: On the boys team, junior Derek Kramer was named the KingCo 2A/3A Co-MVP and the defensive player of the year. Seniors Pierre Joseph and Ibra Ibrahim were named to the second team. Receiving honorable mentions were, senior Cade Didrickson and senior Joe Barrows. The Saints also were given the sportsmanship award.

For the girls team, sophomore Mira Chew was given second-team honors. Senior Gretchen Dayment and sophomore Jenna Schmitt were both honorable mentions.

Sammamish: For the boys team, senior Adam Drammeh and junior Jon Ellinger were both honorable mentions.

On the girls team, senior Katelyn Nagel was named to the second team. Junior Mackenzie Perez and senior Grace Patterson were honorable mentions. Sammamish head coach Anna Forge was named the KingCo 2A/3A coach of the year.
