Jazzmin Garcia had nine kills and nine aces as Juanita stormed into Bellevue High School and left with a 25-20, 25-23, 25-14 KingCo 3A volleyball conference victory Oct. 1.

Ashley Snedeker had 22 assists and Annie Brandon had 13 kills for Juanita, who improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

Bellevue (4-4, 3-2) was led by Janelle Berberoglu with 20 assists and Karina Vegarra with 11 kills.

Mercer Island remained a perfect 8-0 with a 25-8, 25-15, 25-10 win at Sammamish.

The Totems fell to 3-7 overall with the loss.

Lake Washington 1

Maria Travaile had 16 kills and Kelsey Moore had 12 digs, but Lake Washington couldn’t overcome Newport, losing 25-10, 25-10, 20-25, 25-18.

Newport improved to 3-0 in conference play and 4-2 overall, while Lake Washington fell to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in KingCo 4A.

Bellevue 3, Interlake 0

Laura Goesling had seven kills and Alaina Goesling had 12 digs as Bellevue knocked off the Saints 25-18, 25-21, 25-19 at Interlake High School.

Kori Maitlen had 10 kills and 11 digs to lead Interlake.

Sammamish 3, Liberty 0

Kellyn McCann had six aces and Danielle Vellon added four to go along with eight kills as the Totems defeated Liberty 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 at Sammamish High School.
