Friday night lightning causes rescheduling and early finishes| Bellevue preps football recap

Mount Si 29, Newport 14

The Knights (0-8) hung tough with the Wildcats (6-2) in a 29-14 loss on Oct. 25. The game was called at halftime due to a lightning storm. Newport quarterback Nolan Rouse and running back Nirun Turner both scored rushing touchdowns for the Knights. Newport will play the Redmond Mustangs (1-7) in their regular season finale at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Redmond High School.

Bellevue 28, Juanita 0

The Wolverines (6-2) improved to a perfect 4-0 in league play with a 28-0 victory over the Juanita Rebels (2-6) on Oct. 25. The game concluded early in the third quarter due to the lightning. Bellevue concludes its regular season against the Mercer Island Islanders (3-5) at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Bellevue.

Lake Washington 35, Interlake 0

The Saints (1-7) lost their final league game of the season to the Lake Washington Kangaroos (3-5) on Oct. 25. Both teams agreed to finish the game midway through the third quarter due to the lightning. The Saints conclude their season at home against the Coupeville Wolves at 7 p.m. Nov. 1.

West Seattle 13, Sammamish 6 (game to be replayed on Oct. 29)

At the time of print, West Seattle led 13-6 over Sammamish (1-5) with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. The game on Oct. 25 was rescheduled due to the lightning. The Totems finish their regular season at home against Foss at 4 p.m. Nov. 2.
