Bellevue rolls past Liberty, Sammamish wins second straight | Bellevue preps football recap

Bellevue 42, Liberty 7

In a crucial KingCo 2A/3A matchup, the Wolverines (3-0 in the league, 5-2 overall) ran past the Liberty Patriots (5-2) by a score of 42-7 on Oct. 18. Bellevue running back Alex Reid rushed for more than 100 yards, including two touchdowns. The Wolverines will look to remain undefeated in league play when they travel to face the Juanita Rebels (2-5) on Oct. 25.

Eastlake 34, Newport 13

The Knights (0-3 in the league, 0-7 overall) were unable to pull off an upset against the Eastlake Wolves (6-1) in a 34-13 loss on Oct. 18. In their final game of the season, The Knights host the Mount Si Wildcats (5-2) on Oct. 25.

Sammamish 49, Franklin 0

The Totems (2-5) won their second straight game by shutting out the Franklin Quakers, 49-0, on Oct. 18. Sammamish wraps up its season with a road game against West Seattle Wildcats (1-6) on Oct. 25.

Bellevue Christian 35, Chimacum 28

The Vikings (3-1 in the league, 4-3 overall) held off the Chimacum Cowboys (1-6) for a 35-28 win on Oct. 19. Bellevue Christian quarterback Samuel Cornett threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in the victory. The Vikings have a home game against the La Conner Braves (1-5) on Oct. 26.
