Bellevue girls lacrosse team defeats Eastside Catholic in state quarterfinals

The Bellevue Wolverines girls lacrosse team celebrates in the immediate moments following their 16-11 victory in the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association (WSLA) quarterfinals against the Eastside Catholic Crusaders on May 10 in Sammamish.

Bellevue player Vanessa Rubel scored a game high five goals and had one assist in the win. Kimberly Nickerson and Lily Weingaertner added four goals apiece as well in the victory. Makenzie McGrath scored two goals and Abby Parrish had one goal to round out the scoring. Mindy Weingaertner had a team-high three assists.
