Bellevue girls lacrosse in state title match today

Thanks to two big games from Merielle Moffatt and Conley Nemyre, the Bellevue Wolverines girls lacrosse team has battled its way into the state championship match, today at 4:30 p.m.

Thanks to two big games from Merielle Moffatt and Conley Nemyre, the Bellevue Wolverines girls lacrosse team has battled its way into the state championship match, today at 4:30 p.m.

The game, held at Memorial Stadium in Seattle, pits Bellevue against top-ranked Snohomish (14-0), who finished the season a perfect 13-0 before defeating Nathan Hale 18-6 in the semi-finals. Snohomish earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

Bellevue (12-2) finds itself in the championship game after defeating Garfield 11-6 in the first round and bested Curtis 14-13. Curtis and Bellevue ended the regular season in a tie for second place.

Nemyre and Moffatt combined for 10 goals in the win over Garfield in the quarterfinals at Bellevue High School on May 12.

Moffatt scored seven goals in the win over Curtis while Nemyre and Adriene Greenberg each scored twice.
