Bellevue boys win track title | KingCo Track and Field Championship

Bellevue captured the the boys 3A KingCo title with 189 points as the KingCo league meet wrapped up Friday at Eastlake High School. Bellevue topped Liberty, which scored 167 points. Mount Si won the girls title with 177 points.

The Bellevue boys were bolstered by league titles by Michael Williams (1,600, 4:15.53), Anthony Monahan (110 meter hurdles, 14.93), Will Fields (200 meters) and Willie Gervais (shot put, 52-9.75). Bellevue’s relay teams also won both events, as Freddie Levine, Ari Morales, Fields and Monahan took home the 4×100 title, while Bruce Thomas, Alex Otsu, Woody Butler and Williams won the 4×400.

Williams finished second in the 800, while Tanner Lien finished second in the javelin.

The Bellevue girls team saw champions in Casey Warendorf (800 meters, 2:19.88) and Ilaria Hinrichsen (100 meter hurdles, 15.55).

Interlake’s Wes Zhao won the boys pole vault with a vault of 13-3, wile Qiaoyi (Joy) Zhang tied for first for the Saints in the high jump.. Andy Agus finished third in the shotput and Nikita Nosov took third in the high jump. Summer Hanson tied for second in the girls 400 meters for the Saints, while Brenda Agus finished second in the discus (107-11) and third in the javelin (121-6). Olivia Domini finished second in the pole vault.

Sammamish’s Anthony Do won the 400 meter league title with a time of 50.80.

Athletes who qualified will move on to Wednesday and Friday’s KingCo-Metro League Championships at the Southwest Athletic Complex in Seattle.

On the 4A side, Skyline won the 4A boys title with 127 points, while Inglemoor dominated the girls side with 149 points.

The Newport boys finished sixth while the girls finished seventh.

Nick Eisenhauer won the javelin with a throw of 177-06, just beating out Skyline’s Devyn Heimbeck’s toss of 174-11. Maggie Roe was the Knights only girls champion, winnig the discus easily with a throw of 111-10. Skyline’s Elena Frerker finished second with a throw of 102-03. Roe finished third in the shot put as well.

Juanita’s Alanna Coker was the star of the day, capturing five titles.

Newport’s James Dupar, Louis Jachim and Ryan McCord finished third, fourth and fifth respectively in the 110 meter hurdle finals. Dupar also took third in the 300 meter hurdles. Anthony Marrese and Patrick Taiwo earned third and fourth place finishes in the discus.

Mary Carr finished fourth in the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles for the Knights, wile Kristine Wong finished tied for second in the high jump.

Michael Milbank won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters for Bellevue Christian at the Emerald City League championships on Saturday. MacKenzie Altig won two titles for the Vikings, taking first in the triple jump (35-08) and the 100 meter hurdles (16.24)

Bree Oldham won the 300 meter hurdles for Bellevue Christian.
