April 19, 1932 – April 29, 2025

Shirley J. Kaiser (Davenport), 93, passed away April 29, 2025, after a short hospitalization. Born April 19, 1932, in Spokane, Washington, she was the youngest of ten and the last surviving sibling of Gordon and Hilda Davenport.

A 1950 Lewis & Clark High School graduate, Shirley followed her family into “the phone company”. She married Daniel Kaiser in 1955, settling in Seattle in 1960. There, she raised three children, embraced Mercer Island PTA life, and gathered joyfully with family. In retirement, she loved crafting, card-making, church, and spoiling her three grandchildren. She found community at Spiritridge and later The Gardens at Town Square.

She is deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

A memorial will be held June 9, 2:00 p.m., at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church. In her honor, send a card or share a treat—just like Shirley would.
