KELLY EARL TALLY

Kelly Earl Tally, age 56 years, died at Federal Way, Washington on 25 November 2017. Kelly Tally, son of the late Dale and Ellen DeVore Tally, was born on 10 July 1961 in Riverside, California and grew up in San Diego. He later relocated to Washington where he married Lisa Canady on 8 November 2000 in Yakima. Kelly is lovingly remembered as a loyal and devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and building inspector who would find ways to help others even when it was difficult.

Over many years, Kelly served in various positions as a Building Inspector and Building Plans Reviewer for Yakima County, the City of Auburn, Pierce County, and the City of Bellevue. While serving the City of Bellevue as a Building Inspector, Kelly earned his place as one of the top inspectors amongst a team of highly qualified peers. Kelly successfully mentored newly hired building inspectors and was considered a “go-to” guy for code related issues. Kelly was dedicated to his profession as a Building Inspector and enjoyed working with friends including coworkers, fellow inspectors, contractors, and customers.

Kelly is greatly loved and missed by all who knew him. The family of Kelly Tally wishes to thank those who expressed sympathy and support.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Lisa; son James Tally; stepson Caleb Canady; Uncle Charles and Aunt Kate DeVore; eldest brother Dale Tally; brothers Vernon, Charles, and Robert Salama; cousins Gerald Berlett Junior and Gena Berlett, and many more cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Arrangements were managed by Edwards Memorial Funeral Homes of Federal Way, Washington.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on 10 February 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn, Washington. The public is invited to attend. Everyone will gather around the Forest Walk Wishing Well. There will be a reception following the service. Details will be announced.
