Gracie Lee (Dyer Parker) Fields

Gracie Lee Fields was the fourth of five children – all girls – in a West Tennessee family. She was the youngest “Queen” in the 1935 West Tennessee Cotton Carnival held in Memphis when she was 17 years of age! She is survived by all of her four children; John E. Parker (Jane) of Palm Harbor, FL, Linda K. Parker (Bruce Cleveland) of Camano Is., WA, Dr. W. Wesley Fields, III (companion, Nadia Mazur) of Dana Point, CA and Susan L. Fields of Bellevue, WA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She loved being a grandmother (known as Grammie, Poppy and GG) and spent much time visiting them. Local family includes Susan and Will Fields of Bellevue, WA, Linda Parker & Bruce Cleveland of Camano Island, Blair & Jennie Bouma with son, Peter, of Arlington and Steve & Wanda White of Whidbey Island. Special “daughter-friend” Cathy Cline, of Bellevue, WA. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kevin Clay of Stanwood, WA, Dr. John Roberts of Virginia Mason in Seattle, WA, Staff at Merrill Gardens in Stanwood, WA, her angel nurses Lily and Brenda as well as Hospice. Donations may be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice. At her request, Gracie was buried with family in her childhood home of Dyersburg, TN. Memorial services will be held in Santa Rosa, CA and Bellevue, WA. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Celebration on Saturday, February 5, 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1934 – 108th Ave NE, Bellevue WA in the Parlor room.
