Doris Riggs

Doris Riggs, Nana to SO many, died June 3, 2010, at age 98, at home with her daughter Jan White, son Don Riggs, and his wife Maria, by her side. Doris was born July 28, 1911 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Riggs. She leaves five grandchildren, Dan (Laurie) Mehlhoff, Ken (Krissy) Riggs, Sandra (Pat) Jepson, Tom (Heather) Riggs, and Joe (Cindy) Mehlhoff. She had eleven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter. Terry and Lynn Allen and their son have also become part of the family during the last 30 years. Her life was dedicated to her family. Her heart and her home were always open to extended family and friends. She lived on Lake Sammamish for more than 60 years. Her constant smile and gracious manner will be sorely missed by many. There will be a celebration of her life in her honor at the Highland Covenant Church, 15022 Bel Red Road in Bellevue at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010. Donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
