David Pengelly Newbury

March28, 1926 – February 1, 2011

David was born March 28, 1926 in Paignton, Devon, England. He was educated & graduated from London University in engineering. He also worked for the British Intelligence in Hong Kong. In the 70’s David traveled the world because of his jobs – He was married to Eileen & had three daughters and one son; Carolyn (Roland) Gold, Melanie (Geoff) Anderson, James David (Lisa) Johnston, and Serena (Patti Huxford) Johnston of Georgia, USA; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. David married Marjorie Meserole – she passed away in 1994. David met Sally Ann Ramquist & they were married in June 1996. They lived in Surry Downs until David’s passing. David was a Grandfather to Sally’s children & her grandchildren. Sally’s daughters are Diana (Danny) Johnston, Suzanne (Carl) Stork, Cynthia Ramquist, Andrea (Kirby) Felder; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Special thanks to caregivers Yacoubou and Abdul and Kirkland Hospice for their attentiveness towards David. David was one of the kindest, sweetest, loving, generous men that ever graced this planet. God look over him & may you rest in peace in heaven, forever. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in his honor, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm, at the Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 – 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. Visitation to take place Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
