Dec. 12

Grinch-y employee: A house in the 15900 block of SE 10th St. was vandalized with spray paint. There have been numerous cases of this happening to other employees working for the same business. The reason is unknown.

Assault at the ‘Nutcracker’: A married couple attending the “Nutcracker” at the Meydenbauer Center got into an argument, with the wife assaulting the husband. Officers issued a court summons to the wife.

Dec. 14

Hit-and-run: A man was exiting a hotel in the 10500 block of NE 10th St. in his car when he struck a female pedestrian. The woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene, but was later located at his home in Renton and arrested.

Homeless man arrested: A subject wasn’t provided a bed at the men’s winter shelter as quickly as he wanted and began threatening staff. He also knocked a pot of coffee on another patron, then went outside and broke a fence. Police arrived at the scene as the subject was leaving and arrested him for malicious mischief.

Dec. 15

DUI arrest: A woman was arrested for a DUI when her vehicle became stuck on a curb in the 14700 block of NE 29th Place.

Dec. 18

Domestic assault: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 14300 block of SE 4th St. The victim alleged that the suspect had struck her in the face after an argument. The suspect was arrested and the victim was involuntarily committed to a hospital for a suicide attempt.

Dumping feces: Neighbors in the 12400 block of SE 30th St. called police several times about a woman dumping human waste down a storm drain. One caller had recorded the woman dumping something down the drain on video. Officers contacted the woman, who admitted it was human feces and that her toilets were clogged.
