Weekend Traffic: Full closure of State Route 520, lane closures on I-90

Heading west of Lake Washington this weekend? State Department of Transportation crews will close State Route 520 from Interstate 405 to Montlake Boulevard for work beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, Friday.

Heading west of Lake Washington this weekend? State Department of Transportation crews will close State Route 520 from Interstate 405 to Montlake Boulevard for work beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, Friday.

Crews will use the SR520 closure to continue pouring concrete for the roadway deck on teh new West Connection Bridge. Up to 10,000 tons of asphalt will also be placed for the new eastbound lanes as part of the Eastside Transit and HOV Project. All lanes are schedule to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, June 23.

Express lanes on Interstate 90 will also close to accommodate the estimated 25,000 runners participating in the Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Saturday. Lanes close 3 a.m. Saturday and reopen 2 p.m. of the same day.
