Walk to help children with special needs

The Friendship Circle's annual "Walk With Friendship" walk-a-thon will be held Oct. 13 to raise awareness and funds to support children and teens with special needs in the greater Seattle area.

 

The Friendship Circle’s annual “Walk With Friendship” walk-a-thon will be held Oct. 13 to raise awareness and funds to support children and teens with special needs in the greater Seattle area.The event will be from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at Luther Burbank Park, 2040 84th Ave, S.E., Mercer Island.

The organization provides a variety of educational, social, and recreational programs to children and teens with special needs and helps families facing the challenges of raising a child with special needs.

The event will include booths from sponsors, food, live music and entertainment, special performances, and activities for children including face painting, a bouncy house, and games.
