Suspected chicken sacrifice in south Bellevue | Bellevue Police Blotter Oct. 20-23

City of Bellevue Parks Department employees informed police that they had found three boxes of dead chickens at the Cinder Mines trailhead.

Shattered windows: Multiple vehicles near the 1700 block of 132nd Ave. NE and the 12200 block of Main St. had their windows smashed and items stolen.

Oct. 21

Hate crime?: An unknown suspect threw a rock through a window of the Islamic Center at 14700 Main Street.

Chicken sacrifice: City of Bellevue Parks Department employees informed police that they had found three boxes of dead chickens at the Cinder Mines trailhead at Newscastle Golf Club Road. There was a concern that the chickens might have been sacrificed in a “ritualistic manner,” but officers found that theory was not supported by the circumstances.

Woman assaulted: A woman reported that around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, an unknown male approached her as they were crossing paths on the skybridge between the Bellevue and Lincoln Squares and slapped and grabbed her buttocks with such force that it caused pain. The victim confronted the subject and called 911.
