Six receive National Merit scholarships

Six students from the Bellevue area have won National Merit $2500 Scholarships. They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors. The awards are provided by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s own funds.

Six students from the Bellevue area have won National Merit $2500 Scholarships. They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors. The awards are provided by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s own funds.

Those winning scholarship include:

Steven T. Ambo, International School, career undecided; Alice Y. Lai, Bellevue High School, computer science; Linda Lian, Newport High School, career field not reported; Jacqueline Y. Ma, Transition School for Early Entrance Program, Seattle, education; Elizabeth J. Nuttall, The Bush School, Seattle, medicine; and Katherine S. Nelson, International School, career field undecided.
