QFC reopened its Bellevue flagship store on Northeast Eighth Street today after a $6.7 million remodel that added 6,000 square feet of retail space.

The QFC remodel and expansion includes a restaurant-style area for purchasing glasses of beer and wine, Cork & Tap, which will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. A growler fill-up station with 12 rotating taps of local craft brews is another new feature.

Taking into account Bellevue’s diversifying population, the QFC store will also offer more than 300 authentic Asian prducts, as well as a hot food case in the deli, featuring bahn mi sandwiches and pho.

Customers will also notice the bakery, Starbucks, wine and spirits and natural foods departments have been relocated. The natural foods department also now includes bulk foods.

The last major improvements to the store occurred in 2007, and the location has been open on Northeast Eighth since 1967.

QFC is running a number of promotions to coincide with its grand reopening, including: Snoqualmie Ice Cream sampling 1-5 p.m. Friday; Top Pot Doughnut truck 10 a.m. to noon Friday; Essential Bread signing with founder noon-2 p.m. Saturday; Moonstruck Chocolate sampling 2-4 p.m. Sunday and an autograph signing by Seattle Sounders DeAndre Yedlin 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 13.
