Live Nation announced at a press conference Tuesday afternoon that Paul McCartney will play at Safeco Field on July 19.  The first major concert to be presented at the stadium, the show is part of the former Beatle’s 2013 “Out There” tour.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 12 (800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com). American Express card members can purchase tickets  from 10 a.m. Tuesday to 10 p.m. Thursday. According to reports by the Seattle P-I, ticket prices will range $39.50-$250, with the stage located in Center Field.

McCartney, whose most recent album was 2012’s Grammy-winning release Kisses on the Bottom, has not performed in Seattle since 2005.
