The red carpet will be rolled out once again for this year’s “Walk the Red Carpet for Seattle Children’s” benefit fundraiser. The Imagine Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital will hold a private screening of the 81st Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Lincoln Square Cinemas (700 Bellevue Way N.E.).

Guests will view the star-studded award ceremony on the silver screen while enjoying fine wines, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s. In 2008, the need for uncompensated care reached $87 million to help families who are under insured or who have no insurance.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with an hors d’oeuvre buffet provided by The Parlor Billiards and Spirits accompanied with complimentary wine. The silent auction will open for bids. At 4 p.m., the theater will open and the live broadcast of the arrival of the movie star’s on the red carpet front of the Kodak Theater will begin followed by the award show. The silent auction closes at 7:30 p.m.
