Business managers, property owners and residents will get a chance to see conceptual design plans for a proposed 3.6-mile trail on the south side of Interstate 90, between Factoria and Lakemont, at an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

To accommodate all who are interested, the City of Bellevue will hold the open house twice that day, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 2650 148th Ave. SE.

City staff will present proposed cross sections, design elements and the general layout of the proposed trail, which would close a gap in the 100-mile Mountains to Sound Greenway that connects Seattle to Ellensburg. They will then invite feedback.

In the next couple of months, the city will finalize the conceptual design, estimate the project cost and create a project phasing schedule. Study of the proposed trail is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
