Five inmates escaped from Echo Glen Children’s Center in Snoqualmie in a Ford Fusion on Jan. 26.

Early in the morning of Jan. 27, authorities apprehended one of the five young inmates that escaped the Echo Glen Children’s Center, a juvenile detention facility in Snoqualmie, just the day before.

Fifteen-year-old Timothy Hernandez-Ebanks was reportedly taken into custody around 1:30 am by the King County Sheriff’s Department with help from the Kent Police Department.

Hernandez-Ebanks was in Echo Glen’s custody following his 2021 conviction for first degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm stemming from a 2020 homicide in Southwest King County.

Hernandez-Ebanks and four other juveniles, aged 14 to 17, reportedly escaped from the juvenile detention facility in a gray or blue 2018 Ford Fusion just before 8 am on Jan 26. The license plate of the vehicle was 27545E.

They are still believed to be at large. Any persons with information are asked to call 911 or the King County Sheriff’s non-emergency number at 206-296-3311.
