Fifteen candidates have filed for the U.S. Senate seat that’s up for election this year in the state. Nine candidates have lined up for the U.S. Representative seat in the 8th Congressional District.
Those races and a number of local contests will be on the August 17 Primary election ballot. The top two vote-getters in each race – regardless of political party affiliation – will move on to the Nov. 2 General election.
