Elderly Bellevue woman is in critical condition after getting hit by a car

A 70-year-old Bellevue resident standing at a metro bus stop was struck by vehicle Friday after it crossed over the center line and up over the curb.

A 70-year-old Bellevue resident standing at a metro bus stop was struck by vehicle Friday after it crossed over the center line and up over the curb.

The accident occurred in the 4700 block of 119th Avenue S.E.

A 53-year-old Everett man was driving southbound on 119th when he apparently blacked out and crossed the center line and struck the female. She was carried approximately 50 feet into a neighboring yard.

Police closed down the roadway immediately while medic units administered aid to a victim who was conscious but had multiple injuries. She was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Her family has been notified.

It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol were a factor in this accident.
