Construction to impact lanes on I-405 this weekend, next week

Late night drivers on I-405 in Bellevue this Saturday will see a different traffic control configuration.

From 10 p.m. Saturday until 8:30 a.m. Sunday, crews will close the left lane and right lane on southbound I-405 between Coal Creek Parkway and 112th Ave. S.E. to replace a catch basin and place a sleeve inside of the existing pipes to improve stormwater capacity. Vehicles will be directed to the middle lane.

Drivers are advised to slow down and drive with extra caution while driving through this active construction zone.

Specific closure details for the week of Oct. 3-10 will be posted on WSDOT’s I-405 construction updates Web site by noon on Friday: http://wsdot.wa.gov/projects/i405/conupdates.

Also, next week, crews in Bellevue will continue building a bridge across I-405 at N.E. 10th Street.

On Oct. 10, during the night and early morning hours, crews may close two lanes of southbound and one lane of northbound I-405 between S.E. 8th Street and SR 520 to pour concrete in the median. Crews also may close the following ramps:

The ramp from southbound I-405 to N.E. 6th Street.

The ramp from N.E. 6th Street to northbound I-405.
