DentaFend Reviews – Real Safety Concerns and Scam Complaints

Have you been recently experiencing severe toothaches? Finding it troubling to feel loose teeth and witness increased rates of oral infections? If the answers are yes, you might be dealing with an issue that has plagued consumers globally: tooth decay. In general, over 3.9 billion people worldwide have been affected by oral diseases. This number allegedly represents the cases that go untreated (FDI World Dental Federation). So, what are the causes of tooth decay to begin with?

The main culprit responsible for tooth decay are cavities, and the same culprit has been linked to possibly triggering gum disease. In such cases, experts typically insist that poor oral hygiene practices are what causes cavities, but according to Dean Dent, there’s more to the story. As someone who claims to have “almost suffocated to death because of a swollen tooth” he states that experts fail to identify “particular toxins” as being the problem.

After further discussing these matters with a retired, natural alternative medicine researcher, Dr. Michels, Dean took matters into his own hands and launched an all-natural solution called DentaFend. He believes that this solution “can destroy the toxins found inside your bloodstream [and] will allow your teeth to properly assimilate all the minerals and nutrients they need.” Curious to find out what these nutrients are? Here’s what we’ve gathered on DentaFend.

What is DentaFend?

DentaFend is a 100% all-natural, oral health supplement that specifically aims to ease and clear consumers of gum disease and tooth decay. In keeping with Dean’s argument, there exists a toxin that is currently “swimming inside your bloodstream” and eventually finding a home at the bottom of teeth and gum roots.

By targeting this one issue alone, consumers can expect to be freed of pain and tooth infections, plaque buildup, advanced gum diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis and bad breath among several others. Before exploring the ingredients list, it is important that consumers acknowledge the entire process to healing.

How does DentaFend work?

The DentaFend formula appears to fulfill a number of steps that lead to enhanced oral health. First, the selected ingredients are believed to flush out the toxins responsible for damaging the teeth and gums. This appears to be achieved by tracing and neutralizing toxins so that they have no power to withstand the delivered nutrients. Once they have been cleared out, the reparation processes of teeth and gums is said to commence. From here, the entire mouth undergoes measures that protect it against future hindrances such as bacteria growth, plaque buildup, and inflammation among others.

What are inside the DentaFend formula?

DentaFend is said to combine nine powerful ingredients that come from different continents. Dean shared that this solution has since been tested on 6,400 volunteers from six countries, resulting in nothing but improvements. Having said that, included below is Dean’s reasonings as to how the DentaFend formula came about:

The first of nine ingredients is bentonite clay, which he argues, “acts like a molecular sponge which absorbs toxins then neutralizes bacteria and other impurities from your mouth and surface of your teeth.” Then, flaxseeds were considered because of their antioxidant effects. This is trusted to tend to the teeth and gums by reducing inflammation. He also noted that flaxseeds can “detox against heavy metals toxicity.”

From there, he highlighted the inclusion of oat bran, a grain he trusts can “trace bad bacteria colonies and toxins and annihilate them while stopping the bleeding and inflammation on gum level.” The aforementioned three constitute the first step to the three-step clearing, repairing and protecting aspects of DentaFend.

In order to repair teeth and gums, the duo was fixated on black walnuts, apple pectin, prune extract and psyllium husk. These four ingredients supposedly carry “the same powerful rejuvenation and regeneration properties” because they are sources of “anti-inflammatory and free-radical-fighting properties in the body.”

Finally, to ensure that the mouth is protected in the long run, Dean and Dr. Michels studied ingredients that are rich in polyphenols, as they are believed to house “extremely powerful antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral [components].” Simply put, the likes of aloe vera leaf extracts, and lactobacillus acidophilus account for the last step of the formula.

What does science have to say regarding DentaFend?

To see how accurate the reasonings above are, we decided to refer to scientific studies and evidence. In so doing, the following were discovered:

Bentonite Clay

Bentonite clay is an absorbent aluminium phyllosilicate clay that has been traditionally used for its therapeutic benefits. In a 2017 review that looked closely at its effects, the authors wrote that there is “enough literature showing its safety after chronic oral consumption.” Aside from evidence, they noted that it could be because it is “abundant, non-expensive and natural.”

While this review did not focus on oral health, the authors did reveal that it may possess antibacterial properties. Explicitly speaking, they shared that when bentonite was mixed in water and brewed for 24 hours with live bacteria, “a broad spectrum of bacteria was killed.” Due to the lack of scientific evidence, we decided to see what natural medicine experts had to say. This led us to a piece written on the use of clay for dental offices. In it, the following advice was provided: “patients with mild to severe periodontal disease should gently brush with either dry or hydrated clay several times per day […] Remember, clay works better when it comes in contact with the microbes.”

Flax Seeds

Flax is a type of flowering plant belonging to the family of Linaceae. Based on the reportings of HealthLine, its seeds contain a rich source of lignans, which are high in antioxidants and estrogen. An interesting explanation on the role of lignans can be found in The Journal of Multidisciplinary Care Decisions™ in Dentistry.

Precisely, the author, Donna Catapono-Martinez, CDA, RDH, DHSc noted that the class of polyphenols (including lignans) carry “antioxidant properties that may promote oral health by reducing the risk of inflammation and infections.” An in vitro study was referenced, and as per the findings, macelignan polyphenols were said to display “anti-biofilm activity by inhibiting growth of S. mutans, S. sanguinis and Actinomyces viscosus.” Generally speaking, research on polyphenols has shown to be effective on periodontal diseases (at least to some extent).

Oat Bran

Oat bran is nothing more than the outer covering of oat groat and is deemed an apt source of dietary fiber. At the time of writing, no direct relationship between oat bran and its ability to ease oral health concerns were available. However, the potential it has as a disease prevention agent has been brought to light in a piece by Very Well Health. In particular, it was reasoned that oat bran contains polyphenols (like flax seeds) and can help to reduce “free radical cell damage.”

Black Walnuts

Black walnuts, aka Juglans nigra, consist of a kernel, a dry hull and a hard shell. Its bark is worth praising, seeing that it contains chemical constituents and carries antifungal, antibacterial, and antioxidant activities.

A 2013 animal study that looked at the effect of black walnuts on four different oral bacteria (i.e., Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus salivarius, Streptococcus sanguis and Staphylococcus aureus) concluded that S. sanguis and S. mutans are most sensitive and resistant to bacteria against the different chemicals. The authors also stressed that “the results may provide the basis for using natural antimicrobial substances for oral hygiene prophylaxis purposes.”

A 2018 study that focused primarily on the best ways of extracting bioactive molecules of black walnuts confirmed that they were successful in identifying up to six antibacterial compounds, which in some ways appear to validate not only the goal of the aforementioned study, but also the ingredients potential in clearing bacteria.

Apple Pectin

Another dietary fiber to have made the cut, apple pectin, is anticipated to improve digestion, and prevent metabolic-related disorders. The closest study that we were able to find regarding apples is a 2018 study that aimed to determine whether chewing apples produced “mechanical removal of dental plaque.” A group of 20 adults with good oral health status were randomly assigned to either brush their teeth or eat an apple.

The same study was replicated so that the groups swapped tasks. In the end, the researchers did not find evidence of dental plaque removal, further adding that apples might “favor plaque regrowth during the first 24 hours.” Interestingly, they did notice that eating an apple can “produce an immediate reduction in salivary bacterial viability similar to that after tooth brushing.”

Prune Extract

When it comes to the effect of prunes on gum disease, a piece introducing Dr. Wong and his research team must be highlighted. As reported by Bulletin, the team tested resveratrol for in vitro activity against 12 bacteria and three fungi found in the mouth. The end results? Well, it seems like bacteria including Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans and Porphyromonas gingivalis were killed within six hours. In addition, prunes-derived naringin was noted in this piece as being “even more effective than resveratrol at killing mouth bacteria,” as it destroyed four bacterial species.

Psyllium Husk

Psyllium husk is a type of soluble fiber that comes from an herb called Plantago ovata. Mount Sinai summarized that it can possibly help treat colon cancer, constipation, diabetes, diarrhea, heart disease, hemorrhoids, blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases among others. Unfortunately, we did not succeed in finding how it might help enhance oral health. This is definitely an area that warrants further investigation.

Aloe Vera Leaf Extract

Aloe vera leaf extract is widely known for its hyaluronic or moisturizing effects. However, many fail to acknowledge the fact that it also carries anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Speaking of, a 2011 study that looked to assess the effects of aloe vera on periodontal diseases on 15 subjects concluded that “subgingival administration of aloe vera gel results in improvement of periodontal condition,” adding that it can act as a “a local drug delivery system.”

Lactobacillus Acidophilus

Lactobacillus acidophilus is a probiotic that is naturally found in the saliva, but at lower quantities. In regard to its influence on one’s teeth and gums health, we were able to find one review that suggested including L. acidophilus may “decrease volatile sulfur compounds in patients with halitosis.” This decrease allegedly signifies an increase in protection against pathogens because they are incapable of surviving such an “inhospitable environment.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

How should DentaFend be taken?

Dean and Dr. Michels insist that taking one to two DentaFend capsule once a day can make the biggest of differences. Ideally, individuals should consider DentaFend on a consistent basis to see long term improvements.

Does DentaFend contain any allergens worth noting?

DentaFend has been accepted as being generally safe to take due to its all-natural ingredients. According to Dean, this solution is highly unlikely to be invasive, risky and will not interfere with other supplements. Although it is echoed as a safe-for-all solution, consumers are strongly recommended to consult a physician prior to making any medication-related changes. On that note, the single allergies-related concern worth noting is that DentaFend contains black walnut.

How long will it take to see results with DentaFend?

DentaFend has supposedly been considered by close to 87,000 people, none of whom reported any concerns or side effects. That said, results cannot always be guaranteed as consumers of all works of life exist. So, in some cases DentaFend might fail, while in others it might excel. Final Verdict

Overall, DentaFend is a dietary supplement that is proclaimed as being effective at destroying bacteria and toxins. These invaders are known to sneak their way into the roots of the teeth and gums. The approach taken by contributors, Dean and Dr. Michels involves the use of all-natural ingredients, nine of them to be exact. Together, they are expected to flush out toxins, repair damages and protect the mouth from future hindrances.

When comparing the reasonings provided by Dean to what science has to say, a perfect match was not found. In fact, only a fraction of the suggested ingredients has been proven to eliminate bacteria and to provide further protection against inflammation. Clearly, this discrepancy in knowledge makes the entirety of DentaFend somewhat questionable. That said, it is important to note that natural medicine has only recently gained traction, which might be why studies on their uses are lacking.

Besides scientific evidence as a factor, the lack of transparency needs to be discussed here. To be exact, the duo has failed to share the supplement fact, information on the manufacturing company and access to details on Dr. Michels experiences. Normally with such supplements, consumers hope to see credibility, and this is nowhere to be found. For these reasons, it becomes a difficult task to weigh in on the value for price. Therefore, consumers are highly recommended to get any doubts out of the way before moving forward. To learn more about DentaFend and what it can do for your oral health, visit here>>>
