Tickets on sale for the 11th Annual Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival

The five-day festival will showcase more than 40 performances of local jazz and blues talent

From May 30 to June 3, the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) will bring together top regional and international talent to Downtown Bellevue at the 11th Annual Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival.

Featured artists Deva Mahal and Dr. Lonnie Smith Trio will perform at the Meydenbauer Centre Theatre and other top talent will be showcased at various venues across Downtown Bellevue. The festival kicks off on May 30 with local Latin band Carlos Cascante y su Tumbao featured at Bake’s Bar and Bistro and continues with the Darelle Holden Quartet at Bake’s Bar & Bistro on Thursday, May 31.

Resonance at SOMA Towers will host two shows on Thursday, May 31 featuring legendary singer, songwriter and saxophonist Curtis Stigers and The Full Circle Big Band. A Student Showcase featuring regional middle and high school combos and Bellevue College performing at Bellevue Arts Museum, June 2 to 3, highlights emerging talent in the Puget Sound area. The Bellevue Jazz and Blues Festival began in 2008 and has since grown into a renowned platform for national and regional music talent, attracting a diverse community audience. Headlining artists are selected in collaboration with John Gilbreath, Executive Director of Earshot Jazz. Past featured artists include Branford Marsalis, Booker T. Jones, Shemekia Copeland, Poncho Sanchez, Dianne Reeves, Charles Lloyd, Catherine Russell, Terence Blanchard, Hubert Laws, Mingus Big Band, Spanish Harlem Orchestra and Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra.
