Bellevue Youth Theatre’s ‘Christmas Carol’ marks decade of father-daughter stage team

When a couple of social workers ask stingy Ebenezer Scrooge for a contribution in this year’s Bellevue Youth Theatre production of “A Christmas Carol,” it will be a milestone for the actors. Bernie Bauman and his daughter, Barbara, playing the social workers, take the BYT stage together for a 10th straight year.

State wine enthusiasts have created a new board game, Washington Wine Trails, that hopes to teach players about Washington state wine facts, wine & food pairing, tasting tips, definitions and pronunciations, and what not to do while wine touring.

Venturing out on a limb when it comes to sampling new wines can sometimes feel like a daunting task - and an expensive one at that. To ease the angst, several Eastside restaurants are offering half-price programs on wine by the bottle.
