Seastar’s Erik Liedholm and his sommeliers accomplices will end the 2008 oeno-academic year with a burst of bubbles. On Monday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m., the group will educate minds and palates on the magic of champagne with an emphasis on producers such as Salon, Krug, Jacques Selosse and Pierre Peters as well as the newest and best “grower” producers.

Sizzleworks Cooking School will host winemaker John Bell of Willis Hall Winery on Sat., Dec. 6 for a wine pouring/tasting from 2-4 p.m. and a winemaker’s dinner at 7 p.m.
