Natalya Ageyeva has traveled the world with her music. The Russian-born pianist began music lessons at the age of 13 in Moscow and today holds the title of Artistic Director of the Russian Chamber Music Foundation based in Bellevue.

Ageyeva has been referred to as an artist of great versatility, having performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras internationally. She has performed in Italy, Austria, and Israel, as well as on tour in her native Russia. Ageyeva’s musical training and desire to bring Russian culture and music to the States prompted her to receive help form the Russian Chamber Music Foundation, a non-profit corporation founded in 2007.

As a young teen, Ageyeva was accepted by the prestigious Special Music School for Talented Children in Moscow and graduated with honors in the Masters Program from the world-renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory, performing extensive solo and orchestra appearances throughout the former Soviet Union.

She relocated to the States nearly a decade ago and completed her doctoral degree at the University of Washington. She has since appeared at a broad range of venues, including the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia, Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Rachmaninoff Hall in Moscow.

The Russian Chamber Music Foundation will present the upcoming 2009 Fall Concert – Autumn Evenings, on Friday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m., at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
