Residents in need of outside home maintenance can apply for help from a team of volunteers who will tackle transformational yard cleanups or single-story exterior painting.

The city is accepting response cards for those interested in the Day of Sharing and Caring program from now until May 31. Now in its 11th year, the program is a longtime partnership between the City of Bellevue and Jubilee REACH, a Bellevue-based nonprofit.

Day of Sharing and Caring outside improvements will take place beginning late July through August. To be considered for the program, applicants must own and occupy a home in Bellevue. Home selection is need-based and residents facing economic or other life challenges are encouraged to apply.

Bellevue residents can request more information or a home improvement application by contacting Ken Carpenter with Jubilee REACH at 425-818-4106 or kenc@jubileereach.org. Residents whose projects are selected will be notified by July 17.

Residents, businesses and nonprofit groups interested in volunteering for the program are encouraged to call Ken at Jubilee REACH. Locals can also register online after June 1 at jubileereach.org.
