I understand that teachers in general are underpaid for the work they do, but the Bellevue School District is offering more then the state’s cost of living increase. The BSD’s administration budget is well with in the realm of normal for this area.

I’m not sure where the union expects the district to come up with additional funds they are asking for. Does the union want the district to cut more teaching and aide positions so that each teacher can make an extra 2 percent?

Both sides have had all summer to figure out a contract – for the sake of our children, get this mattered settled quickly.
