Kroger’s firearms policy will keep us away

Until Kroger changes its firearms policy, we'll be shopping elsewhere

Guns will keep us from shopping

We are joining the many formerly-loyal QFC or Fred Meyer shoppers who are taking our grocery shopping dollars elsewhere until Kroger changes its insane policy regarding firearms.

Hiding behind “…we follow state and federal law..” is a coward’s way to not take a stand on this important safety issue. Many businesses forbid weapons, why not Kroger? We feel much safer shopping where guns are not allowed.

Evidently voting with our wallets is the only way to get through to corporate America. So we will be shopping at Whole Foods, that has have stood up against the NRA lobby, until such time as Kroger gets this policy right. The 2nd Amendment is for a “well-regulated militia”; random citizens carrying automatic weapons do not qualify; we need no militia in the produce aisle nor at the deli counter.

We have welcomed QFC/Kroger to monitor the use of our QFC Advantage Card to take note of the effectiveness of our decision, and we invite others to join us in demonstrating our outrage at their permitting guns to be carried in QFC stores.
