Food trucks welcome hungry patrons in Downtown Bellevue Thursday

It’s lunch time.

On the first day of March, Red Lion in Bellevue hosted three food trucks for lunch.

Along with Korean, Thai and Venezuelan food was a bean bag toss set up for patrons during that sunny afternoon.

The food trucks are in Bellevue through a partnership with the hotel and the Washington State Food Truck Association in an effort to bring more mobile dining to the Downtown Bellevue area.

The new food truck pod will be in service weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to give downtown some new energy and bring unique food options to the area.

On Friday, Ezell’s Express II, Tabassum and Gemini Fish Too will be in operation.

The food trucks are hoping to see a lot of foot traffic from the neighboring Hilton hotel, the Meydenbauer Center, City Hall, the police and fire departments and local commuters.

To see which trucks will participate and their menus, access the schedule via the Best Food Trucks website at www.bestfoodtrucks.com/lots/profile/867.
