Bellevue broker elected chairman of Northwest MLS

Matt Deasy, general manager of Windermere Real Estate/East, Inc. in Bellevue, has been elected 2009 chairman of the board of directors of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. He succeeds Loren Johnson of Silverdale who served two terms as chairman.

Other new officers of the MLS governing body include Jeff Foster, vice chairman; Doug Davis, treasurer; and Diedre Haines, secretary. Deasy and Haines were among five candidates elected earlier this year to three-year terms on the MLS board.

Deasy, a board member since 2005 and officer since 2006, has been a real estate professional for 16 years. As general manager at Windermere Real Estate/East, he oversees six east King County offices with more than 350 agents.

Northwest Multiple Listing Service, owned by its member brokers, is the largest full-service MLS in the Northwest. Its membership includes approximately 28,000 brokers and agents.
