Dr. Syeda Bakhtawar is inviting business leaders, Downtown residents, prospective patients and anyone else to the grand opening of her new dental studio, Artisan Dental in Downtown Bellevue.

The grand opening/open house will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 at her office in the Bellevue Pacific Center, 188 106th Ave. NE, Suite 410.

Bakhtawar is hosting the event with the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and is featuring snacks and refreshments, raffles and giveaways and the opportunity to meet her and her office team, including two dental hygienists, a dental assistant and a hypnotherapist.

She earned her doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated top of her class. She completed her residency in England’s distinguished Oral and Maxillofacial centers – University Hospital Aintree, Liverpool and University Hospital Birmingham, and was awarded Membership in Faculty of Dental Surgery from the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2004.

Bakhtawar has developed passion for treating sleep apnea patients and considers it “the most rewarding and life transforming service.” She successfully passed the competitive Diplomat Exam conducted by American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and earned over 100 hours of continuing education courses in sleep dentistry. She has spent many nights in the sleep centers in the greater Seattle area, observing the sleep study, oral appliance titration and management of the sleep disordered breathing. She receives referrals from physicians to treat sleep apnea patients with oral appliances.
