With candidate filing a few short weeks away, King County Elections is hosting a complimentary two-hour workshop to discuss important information related to filing for office in King County.
No reservations are needed and members of the public, candidates, campaign managers, treasurers and staff are invited to attend the King County Election 2009 Candidate Workshop. Held at the Elections office in Renton, two sessions are available:
Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Tuesday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m.
King County Elections is located in Renton at 919 SW Grady Way. Directions can be found on the county’s website.
Elections staff and representatives from the Public Disclosure Commission will cover the following topics: filing for office in King County, voters’ pamphlet information, voter lists and data management, campaign sign regulations, and basic public disclosure requirements.
To appear on the fall ballot, all candidates must file a declaration of candidacy online, in person or by mail no later than Friday, June 5. For more information on candidate filing, visit the main King County Website.
