Interlake takes second at KingCo golf championships

Parker shot a 8-over par at the par 72 course, finishing in a tie for fourth with Mercer Island’s Kirby Thorton. Barnow’s 83 and Ballod’s 87 helped the Saints finish with 448 strokes overall. Mercer Island won the event with 433 strokes.

The top singles finisher was Brittany Tallman, who shot a 1-over 73 for Issaquah. Katie Somers of Mount Si finished second with a 75, while Lindsay Chinn of Mercer Island shot a 77 to finish third.

The top 25 finishers advanced to districts. The only other Bellevue athlete in the top-10 was Catelyn Webber of Bellevue, who shot a 86 to finish in a tie for eighth place.
