Bellevue resident Alysia Wood has been selected as one of top three finalists in the search for the next funniest person in the country.
The contest is hosted by Improv founder Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow’s Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas in conjunction with Universal Studio’s Funny People. The contest offers one aspiring comic the opportunity to perform on stage at the Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas over a six-night paid run in 2010.
Wood is being flown to Las Vegas where she will perform her material on stage on Jan. 27 at the Improv at Harrah’s in front of a live audience – and a panel of celebrity and judges who including Budd Friedman – to determine the winner.
