The French American School of Puget Sound has purchased a 2.12-acre plot of land next to its campus at the north end of Mercer Island. Student enrollment at the school has increased every year since its inception in 1995 and the school is now operating at nearly full capacity with 405 students. Of those, 89 are from Bellevue.
The school will spend the upcoming conducting research to assess potential development options.
“The new land purchase gives FASPS much more flexibility than our current lease does,” said Debbie Newell, treasure of the board. “We can plan for long-term growth without the risk that we may lose the property.”
