The Bellevue Wolverines (2-0-2) and the Liberty Patriots (2-2-2) played to a 1-1 tie on Sept. 24. The Patriots opened the scoring with a first-half goal from Chloe Mendoza, who beat Bellevue goalkeeper Ashley Heinz from distance. This was the first goal conceded by the Wolverines this season. Later in the first half, sophomore Halle Fletcher evened the game with a goal. Coming up for the Wolverines is a tough road test against defending 3A state champions, Gig Harbor (2-1) at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28.
