Drunk Renton man drives into church, flees without repenting

A Renton man who was reportedly driving while intoxicated crashed into a Bellevue church early Sunday morning and fled without repenting, according to police.

The driver barrelled through the front entrance to New Hope Church in the 15700 block of NE 4th St. No one was inside the church at the time and no bystanders were injured, according to police.

The man fled the scene, but was apprehended by police. He is expected to face DUI and hit-and-run charges.
