Bellevue’s Dave and Sandi Bender hosted 19 members of the Women’s Interclub Council (WIC) on their 50-foot Grand Banks “Grand Adventure” on Opening Day of boating season Saturday, May 1 and won second place in the category Best Dressed Power. The category requires that all participants be standing at attention and dressed identically in nautical uniforms as they pass the reviewing stand.

Joyce Honeyman, also of Bellevue, a 29-year-member of Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club, is the newly elected president of WIC. WIC is a 50-year-old organization that sponsors luncheons and other events to promote friendship among boaters.
